ANNIE NEWMAN ART

Building on a successful, two-decade professional career in architecture and design, and armed with an undergraduate degree in art history, Annie has committed this next chapter of her life to the arts.

 

After several years working on a series called Influencers, which is comprised of portraits of people who have influenced her life, both directly or indirectly through their work or their spirit, Annie welcomes what she calls the year of abstraction. A new series, which she is calling Family Dialogue, is allowing Annie to work more intuitively with form and color in a variety of mediums.

In addition to her own artwork, Annie is an active member of the arts community in Wellesley, promoting the arts through her involvement with the Public Art Committee, Art Wellesley, Wellesley Society of Artists, Wellesley Women Artisans, and the Wellesley Parents Supporting Art Students. She also sits on the Board of Governors at The New Art Center in Newton.
